All my threads clients come to me for email

Day 1 of the 7-Day Threads Writing Challenge is live, and I’m pumped for everyone who joined.

Today, folks will explore the post that brought in my very first 1:1 client direct from Threads, why it worked, and what they can do to replicate it in their business. But you know what that first client actually hired me for?

Can you guess?

It was...

Drum roll please

... daaaa, it was email (I bet you guessed it didn't you?)

Not Threads growth, or content strategy, or any of that. She liked the way I wrote my emails and asked if I’d help write hers.

And come to think of it… almost every single 1:1 client I’ve brought in from Threads has said the exact same thing. Something along the lines of, “I love your emails!” And while I’m not oblivious to this fact, I continue to ignore it.

I think I’ve always felt it was more honorable to cover the entire business model rather than to specialize.

But the truth is, I’ve got no real reason to be loyal to any one specific platform like Threads (especially with all the accounts getting banned lately for no reason).

Which is why I love email so much.

It’s platform agnostic.

Whether you run ads, write on Threads, post on YouTube or whatever… email continues to be the #1 marketing channel across almost all niches and industries. Of course, you need this other platforms to aid in awareness and discovery to actually build your email list.

But it’s the list and what you do with it that matters most in the long run for your business.

So lately I’ve been thinking about making email the main focus of my Skool community. I’ll likely keep the Threads content for teaching traffic, and possibly explore other channels like paid ads as well. But keep those more as a bonus than the main thing.

What do you think?

Would you be interested in that?

Would you like to see the content in the community focus on growing, nurturing, and monetizing your email list above all else?

Just reply YES or NO and let me know.

Best,

Kevin Hood
