Bold prediction for coaching and consulting
I think with the rise of AI, coaching and consulting will only become more popular.
Think about it…
Despite it’s curious origins, school is awesome.
A place for people to learn about all the awesome discoveries and possibilities of life? No brainer if you ask me. Even though I sucked at school when I was younger, I know why, and it doesn’t need to be that way.
But that’s a story for another day.
Here’s the problem though…
Schools don’t really teach enough about financial freedom and entrepreneurship if you ask me. Probably due to the curious origins I mentioned above, it basically sets the bar pretty low for most folks, and it’s primary goal is to “fill the seats” of the status quo and keep things running “as usual”.
But there’s still a ton of opportunity there.
Just not enough for people like you and me who can’t help but color outside the lines.
Because here’s the deal… school, by it’s very nature, is a slow moving ship. It’s like a massive shipping rig with giant rudders and huge engines, and for it to make any sort of alteration in it’s course it’s a bid deal with a lot of moving parts.
It can “stop on a dime” if you will…
For a giant ship like that it could 10 minutes for a decisive change in trajectory.
But in a small passenger vehicle like a car?
You just turn.
And that’s the analogy for coaching.
Because with AI and the internet everything is changing at much faster pace than the “slow moving ship” of our traditional schooling system can keep up with. Just look what happened to law, medicine, software development, tech, finance degrees and more…
Recent Gen Z grads already feel like their degrees are obsolete.
But the coaching and consulting space?
It’s like driving a ferarri while everyone else trucking around in uhauls.
Agile, dynamic, you can pack light and move quickly.
Anyway…
I think you get my point.
The future of education is about to become more decentralized.
