So that didn’t go how I planned…
I just wrapped up the 7-Day Threads Writing Challenge and here's what I learned…
Going in, I thought I was building a challenge.
Something to push people who've been meaning to write on Threads but hadn't quite gotten themselves to do it.
But during the promotion phase, I started pulling together all my best performing content and the stuff that's actually brought me clients because nobody really shows you that side of things in a real hands-on way. The result was, what I'd planned as a 7-day challenge turned into more of what I’d call a master class.
It was easy to complete, easy to win, and packed with the kind of content strategy I usually only teach to people one-on-one.
But I learned a ton about how to structure an actual challenge (and how not).
Once I meet with everyone who participated and gather feedback, I’ll likely turn the material from this experience into premium masterclass content inside the community.
All that said, I’m really fired up about this idea of a “win your money back” offer though.
A lot of people raise their hand for stuff, but far fewer are willing to put their money where there mouth is and actually show up for it. This one was almost embarrassingly easy to win your money back on, and I made that clear from the get-go, so as far as I’m concerned, the folks who passed on it left a lot of value on the table.
But here’s why I think this offer structure has potential value for you in your business.
When somebody's got their money on the line, the odds they actually complete the thing go way up. And if I'm going to show up every day to run something, I want the people on the other side to show up every day too and get results. Plus, that’s the only way I can get feedback on whether it’s working or not.
That alone is super valuable when testing new offers.
So if you’re trying to bring new people into your business, or validate a new offer, or help your audience create real change in a way that doesn’t make them gloss over and say, “oh yeah, another one of those kinda offers…”, then a win your money back style offer seems like one of the most fun, low risk ways to do all three at once.
But in the meantime, another effective way to bring new folks into your world is with something I like to call Client Affinity Content.
It’s live right now on the premium tier inside the community.
And it’s also the strategy that helped my friend and business partner Justin gain more than 100,000+ new followers on Threads in just the past 6 months.
