Stop accidentally teaching people not to hire you
Everyone knows you need to educate your audience to build trust and become a sought-after advisor in your field.
But most people are teaching their audience the exact wrong way.
They're teaching in a way where people just go, "Awesome, thanks for the info, now I'll just go implement all this myself."
And look, there's nothing wrong with giving DIY enthusiasts everything they need to get the job done. But you do your work and your people’s results a disservice by encouraging everyone to go out on their own and reinvent the wheel when you could just help them get results 10x faster.
So there are precisely two ways to teach, and when it comes to marketing, exactly one of them is wrong.
You can teach procedural knowledge which is all the “how-to” stuff: step one, step two, step three… this is what most people do.
But it’s only really useful after someone has purchased your product, joined your community, or signed up for your coaching program. And when you’re trying to attract new customer and clients, it usually backfires.
Because too many people try to follow your steps, going it alone, fail, and then disappear when they don’t get results.
That’s why teaching declarative knowledge is totally different. It’s the, “wow, I didn’t know that” type of stuff. The insights, the little mini epiphanies you give to folks that helps them see things in a new light. The truths that make people go, “Holy shit, that explains everything!!!!”
And when you teach declaratively, you’re not handing out to-do lists…
You’re changing how people actually think about their problems.
Which makes them realize all the areas where they need help solving those problems.
For example, I could say:
Here’s how to grow on Threads:
• Post 3x times a day.
• Re-use viral hooks.
• Engage for 15 minutes.
• Track what works.
• Optimize your bio.
Congratulations, that’s procedural, now you’ve got homework.
So instead, I could say:
The digital education industry is valued at $280 billion dollars, and by 2030, that’s going to triple.
But most creators teach procedurally.
Which turns their audience into DIYers who never buy.
Teach declaratively instead.
That’s how you become the obvious choice when they’re ready to buy.
See how I’m not handing out any to-do lists over here in this neck of the woods?
No, I’m helping you change how you think about your problems. I’m giving you a higher order level of information that helps you do the obvious stuff (post, engage, track, etc…) more effectively.
Most people are stuck handing out lists.
Meanwhile, you could be giving your clients a brand new lens with which to see how beautiful the world really is.
And when you hand your new lens out freely and without expectations?
That’s what makes you unforgettable.
So it’s not coincidence that Education is the very first pillar in the Influential Writing System I teach inside Threads Organic Traffic. Before anything else you try to do with your content, you need to understand exactly what kind of education actually builds trust with people and attracts your ideal clients.
Most people mess this part up.
They see other people teaching (the wrong way), and try to imitate it, but get zero sales, then wonder why it’s not working.
Instead, when you lead with declarative knowledge, your audience stops seeing you as a helpful resource from which to swipe from, and starts seeing you as the person who gets it in a way that no one else does.
So if you want to lean the exact education framework I use to turn content into clients (plus the rest of the Threads Organic Traffic system), you can get it all for way less than the AI-suggested retail price of $297 by following the link below:
