The readership game is over, welcome to the relationship era
Yesterday I wrote about the Threads Organic Traffic benefits that will be available to you inside the the nature of marketing community.
Today I’m going to write to you about the email nurture and conversion side of things.
Which is NOT exclusive to Threads at all.
After writing emails for some pretty well-to-do coaching brands as well as my self over the past 5-6 years, I’ve come to learn that no matter what your list growth strategy is (organic, paid, etc..) that pretty much the same email marketing principles apply to coaches and educators across the board.
But here’s what most people don’t realize:
The principles that grow and monetize a small email list are nothing like what you see big creators doing.
Once someone has a giant audience, the strategy changes. Their whole business model revolves around readership. Because when 100,000+ people read your newsletter every week, you can make a killing with cheap info products, big sponsor deals, SaaS models, etc…
But that’s 1% of the internet (or less).
People with millions of followers and massive lists.
And if that’s your goal, I’m all for it. But no one starts there. And when you’re still small, the strategy is different. When your list is under 3,000 people, you’re not running a readership business.
You’re running a relationship business.
Big creators can afford to be broad.
But you can’t.
Your edge is intimacy, clarity, and the ability to speak directly to the people who actually want your help. That’s the game I’m going to show you how to play (and win).
