What I’m doing in Palm Springs

I just landed in Palm Springs on Tuesday, and I’m blaming that for the reason I haven’t been as consistent as usual with my daily emails.

Since then, the following opportunities have arrived:

I met a movie producer who wants me to teach them how I’m using AI, a published author who wants the same, had a private pickleball coaching session with Justin David Carl from Fit Rich life, and now I’m at FinCon meeting and learning from financial creators who flew in from all over the country.

This might sound like a strange way for an email guy to spend his week.

But the reason for all this is, I’ve been trying to figure things out on my own long enough to know that it doesn’t work. And if you really want to grow your business and bring in more opportunities, you need to step outside your comfort zone and start interacting with people who are further along.

Case in point, I was recently featured in Kieran Drew’s newsletter and added 100 new people to my email list in a single day.

Normally, that takes me almost a month.

So I’m sold on the idea of borrowing trust from people who’ve already taken the time to earn and assemble it into lists and audiences that can be projected onto me which much less effort than simply posting harder into the void.

But there’s just one problem.

We can't all spend every week networking in Palm Springs.

So there are other ways to find collabs that grow your list, grow your business, and expand your opportunities.

One such place is called List Match.

It's a directory of list owners who've already raised their hand and said they're looking for someone to promote. You get alerts when one wants to feature you, plus a daily speed matching session where you meet three new list owners in half an hour.

Basically, it solves the hard part. Finding someone to partner with.
