Are you an adventurous person?
The reason I ask is because I want to share a useful tool.
And in order to do that, I’m going to invite you to try something new.
A while back, I learned a sweet little tip from a marketing coach and copywriter in the holistic space that helped me go from spending months building courses in secret that no one wanted to quickly creating workshops that were well attended than your friends cacao healing ceremony (complete with live digeridoo and very questionable dancing).
It all has to do with have real conversations with real people about real problems that they’re having so you can create real solutions.
Novel idea right?
Now a days, it’s tempting to just “Ask Chat GPT” about this kind of stuff, but if you spend enough time doing that I think you’ll find yourself spinning in circles, asking the same clarifying questions over and over again, and more or less just getting vaguely familiar responses that seem to agree with everything you say.
Don’t get me wrong, LLMs are super useful for preliminary research.
But the best insights come from talking to real people with real problems looking for real solutions, today.
And that sweet little tip I mentioned is about something called a marketing interview.
It’s where you interview the people who follow you on social media, or who join your email list, and you ask them questions about what brought them in and how they found you, and it’ll give you a ton of insight about what’s working and what’s not in your marketing efforts.
And as a bonus, sometimes these conversation move into deeper more mutually beneficial relationships much faster than you might think.
In my experience, some of these conversations turn to clients. Other’s turn to collabs. Other’s turn to referrals. Etc.. so on and so forth.
It’s just like life…
Way to easy to become anti-social on the internet, especially since a lot of meetings and conversations are loaded with pre-tense. But I’ve consistently found, again and again, that my biggest opportunities come in every time I reach out to others and connect.
Which is why I’m inviting you to do something a little adventurous and connect with me today on a marketing interview.
I’ll learn a bit about why you’re here, with no pressure to buy anything or become anything you’re not. And you’ll get a chance to ask me anything AND, you’ll get a chance to see how these things work so that you can implement them in your own business too.
So there ya go…
If interested, reply “I’M INTERESTED”.
