Long ago, in an ancient kingdom, there was a young prince.
One day, while playing, he finds a wild man locked inside a cage. This wild man, Iron John, was feared by everyone in the kingdom and the boy is warned.
“Never go near this cage.”
“Never let the wild man out, no matter what he says.”
Never-the-less, the wild man tempts the boy. So one night the young prince creeps into his mother’s room, lifts her sleeping foot, and steals the golden key to set the wild man free.
Then, to avoid punishment, follows him.
Deep in the woods, Iron John takes the boy to a shimmering well and says, “Guard this well. Do not let anything touch it. Anything that touches it’s water will turn to gold.”
But the boy couldn’t resist.
First he dips his finger in the well and the wild man finds out.
Then his hair brushes the surface accidentally while examining his reflection. And the wild man finds out again.
The young prince begins to shine.
But Iron John is forced to send the boy away to learn about humility.
Hiding his golden hair under his cap, the young prince begins work as a lowly gardener in a brand new kingdom, far away from home. His wildness buried deep within him as he toils away.
Then one day his new kingdom comes under siege.
When the boy asks permission to join the battle, no one takes him seriously for he is just a lowly gardener.
But without his help, he’s sure they’ll perish.
So the young prince calls out to Iron John for help. And the wild man sends him a horse, a suit of armor, and an entire army from the forest. Wearing his helmet low, to keep his golden hair a secret, the wins the battle for his new kingdom then quickly vanishes back his humble gardening life to avoid recognition.
This happens three times.
Each time the boy secretly saves the kingdom with the magical army bestowed upon him from the wild man.
Eventually the King demands to know who this boy his.
So finally, the boy throws off his for everyone to see that he is not just a common gardener, but TRUE royalty. Not because his father is King of some distant kingdom. But because he’s been blessed by the wild man.
All to say…
Most people keep their wild, instinctual nature locked away. And the wild man is here to show you the deep, sacred well of your creativity, spirit, and personal power.
And how to let it shine.
Even in a world that might not be quite ready for it yet.
I knew there was something different about you when you opened this email and read all the way ‘till the end.
Most probably skipped it.
Believing it’s a trick.
But perhaps you’re ready to unlock your raw, hidden power. Dip your finger in the well. Get your hands dirty. Write the thing. Say the thing. Sell the thing. Be the prince or princess. And meet your wild nature.
If so…
