Long story even longer
Back in 2019 I started teaching personal development online.
I had a bunch of skills, interests, experiences, and a weird nagging sense that I was meant to be doing something completely different from running a construction business.
But I couldn’t find anyone worthwhile learning from who was showing others how to do it.
I now know they existed.
But I couldn’t find them back then.
The one’s I did find were all funnel hacker bro’s shouting “10k months!” and using high pressure sales tactics to cram folks through their “absolutely no refunds ever” conveyor belt coaching program where if you didn’t get results it was obviously because there’s something wrong with you or you didn’t want it bad enough.
Clearly I’m not against investing in myself.
I’m just against B.S.
So for the most part, I had to figure a lot of it out on my own.
Thankfully, I did end up finding folks along the way that I could learn from. The Seth Godin’s, the Tad Hargrave’s, the George Kao’s, and so on that I could resonate with and learn from.
But still I couldn’t find a real clear path for what I wanted to do.
I’d collect a piece of the puzzle over here. And another piece of the puzzle over there. But every time it seemed like I’d gotten it all together, I’d look down at a bunch of pieces from different puzzles that didn’t seem to fit together quite right.
Regardless…
None of these folks had quite the business model I wanted in the first place. So eventually I had to realize, no one was going to give me the roadmap I needed.
I had to build it myself.
And honestly I was tired of just teaching personal development, I wanted something more grounded, more concrete, and I remember thinking that deep down I really just wanted to teach marketing one day.
But I didn’t feel qualified.
I’d run multiple businesses at that point, built and sold my own offers online, all of which require a great deal of marketing know-how. But still somehow I didn’t feel “expert” enough.
So I stopped waiting to feel qualified, and decided to become qualified instead. So I got obsessed. I studied marketing every day. Figured out how to grow on Threads. Got my daily email list up and running again. Found my voice, my ideas, and my brand while building in public. Taking note of what worked and what didn’t.
Doubling down on what did.
And it wasn’t very long at all before I started getting paid to do marketing for others.
Which is fun as heck, and I imagine I’ll always do a bit of that for the right kind of person.
But lately I’ve been shifting toward helping people who are just a few steps behind me. That’s the group I actually enjoy serving most.
I’ve watched plenty of big agencies and coaching programs grow so fast they turn into client mills. The customer experience gets watered down. As a client, you get passed on to an assistant coach who’s juggling quotas and efficiency instead of caring about your results. It all starts to feel like a conveyor belt… fit the system or get out of the way… oh by the way… thanks for your money, though.
I’d rather work with the solopreneurs who are more focused on doing meaningful work.
Not about squeezing every dollar out of their audience just to build an empire.
Making money is great. But if you’re charging high-ticket, you should deliver high-ticket. Not everyone will be an all-star student, sure… but if the majority of your people aren’t getting results, then as far as I’m concerned… something in your coaching program just ain’t right.
Anyway… somewhere along the way, after thousands of posts and emails…
And after hundreds of customers and clients…
I realized I’ve started to build the roadmap I’d been looking for all those years.
And I just took a look at the new version of 15 Legendary Writing Secrets, and it’s so much more than just a writing guide this time around.
It’s actually a roadmap.
And whether you’re already an expert at what you do and you’re just getting started building offers online, or you’re creating something entirely new, or you’re somewhere in between, perhaps an intermediate who’s tried a bunch of different things, but nothing’s quite fallen into place yet…
Then the concepts inside, might just be able to get you closer to where you want to go.
So here’s what I propose.
I want to turn 15 Legendary Writing Secrets and all the essential trainings that surround it into a roadmap for folks who want to find their voice, build their offers and services, and find aligned clients by writing online. And I want it to give it to you in the form of a clear roadmap designed to help you reach consistent $5k months.
Yeah, sure… it’s an income goal.
But it’s a modest one.
And a realistic one that I’m personally committed to helping you achieve. And as long you’re committed to writing on threads, and using a newsletter or email list as the primary relationship building and revenue channel for your business.
Then I think this roadmap might be a good fit for you.
And I’ve come to realize, that the best way to deliver that to more people at the same time (without turning into a client mill myself, is to deliver all the early wins in a community / group coaching experience. And then for those who want to move faster, or once you’ve got the assets built up, I can work with you more closely in group or 1:1 settings where the ROI just makes total sense.
Since I’ve got the majority of the roadmap all built out in various courses I’ve created, I’d like to make them available to you inside my new community membership.
For now it’ll just be called The Nature of Marketing Membership.
It’s probably more clever than clear, but I think the name is awesome, and it suits me particularly well, so I say I’d rather just move forward with it than obsess about the name.
I haven’t decided on the exact pricing and structure for it yet, but it’s in the works.
And anyone who’s purchased 15 LWS in the past, or any of my other courses or trainings like DTL, TOA, MBP, or MWD (iykyk), will get locked in at a special founder’s rate, and probably some other unannounced bonuses as well.
But all to say…
If you’re even remotely interested in discovering how to position yourself in the market, attract an aligned audience using organic social content on threads, grow an email list of smart successful people who are interested in what you have to offer, and then turning all that content into a meaningful and profitable online coaching or education business…
Then click the link below.
No hard commitments here, I won’t hold you to it, but just checking for interest.
If you click the link, I’ll know and you won’t have to do anything else.
Here it is (clickity-click):
