Wizard updates

Yesterday I hastily added the Lead Magnet Wizard as an upsell right after people opt in to MVE, specifically when they come in through Facebook ads.

And rather unconventionally I might add.

I didn't bother about setting it up well or anything, I just slapped it in there.

This is all part of my plan to take small, messy steps on getting Meta ads up and running for my email list. The goal being, to eliminate perfectionism, get things up and test them as fast as I can, and just refine it as I go.

Sort of stumble my way to success, as it were.

Move fast, break stuff, prove what works, see what doesn’t, roughly the opposite of how I’ve often done things.

And within an hour or two of putting it up there, I already got my first sale of the Lead Magnet Wizard directly through ads. Which means someone saw the ad for MVE, clicked through to get the free resource, signed up, saw the Wizard upsell, clicked through, and purchased it sight unseen.

And I thought, you know… that’s pretty cool.

Because I dislike over-hyped marketing funnels as much as the next guy. But I just got off a call with a guy who works with Bryan Harris from Growth Tools who got his hands on MVE sometime last week and he told me that he thought I was totally under selling what it actually was on the landing page.

He said he was surprised at what he actually got once he opened it up and took a look inside.

So I’m like, well that’s cool. If people are genuinely surprised to find what’s inside the free thing, and they’re also interested in buying another small paid thing, and they’re surprised by that thing too. Then I’d say that’s the start of a good user experience if you ask me.

It’s still too early to tell, but I will continue to provide updates as things progress.

In the meantime, if you haven’t had a chance to grab the Lead Magnet Wizard, here’s the link:
