Quick update
Well hot damn.
I’m back… (kind of).
Today is the first day I’d say I feel somewhat normal. For those who don’t know, I caught Lyme from a tick bite (and have gotten proper care so I’ll be fine) but it’s no joke and it’s not fun.
Tons of anti-biotics, herbals, and supplements are flooding my system. And 11 days later I’m finally hitting my second wave of “starting to feel quite a bit better” (even though I’m only half-way through the typical course of symptoms).
I’ll be honest.
I’ve been mostly been re-hashing old emails from about 6 months ago because something most people don’t know about Lyme (and all it’s associated co-infections) is that they mess with your brain and central nervous system.
The result?
Irritability… mood swings… brain fog… the whole nine yards. I’ll tell ya, my girlfriend is a saint for putting up with me for the past 2 weeks.
Anyhoo…
Every time I sat down to write, I mostly just wanted to complain, so I deleted that crap and just modified some old emails, and “made it happen” so to speak.
And what’s interesting is…
I’ve gotten a lot of response and appreciation from some of those old emails.
Which is one of the benefits of having a daily email habit. Anytime you need a break, it’s pretty easy to slap together a handful of relevant gems from the archives, schedule ‘em out, and everyone is happy.
So if you replied back to any of those emails and I haven’t gotten back to you yet, don’t worry, I will…
I’m just still in comeback mode.
I’ll get to you promptly.
All that said…
I think the past 1.5 weeks have really had an impact on me. And it’s inspired me to take a long hard look at what’s happening on social media lately, and how I want to build the future of my business differently.
For many…
Content creation is becoming the new 9-5.
The same way factory workers once fueled industrial growth, content creators are now fueling the attention economy. But instead of wages, most get paid in likes. And instead of job security, they’re scraping by on hope.
Posting every day is a badge of “productivity”… but most who do it never build anything substantial.
They don’t own distribution (email lists).
They don’t own products (courses, offers).
They don’t systemize (automations, delegation).
They stay stuck in the content hamster wheel (working harder, not smarter).
And since I’ve been sick, I’ve seen how I’ve let this attitude get ahold of me in my own life and in my own business. So I’ve decided to build a new kind of business model.
One that allows you to service your customers and clients better than ever before while deeply respecting your time, your freedom, and your nervous system.
And I want you to be able to watch what I’m doing. See how it works. Apply it to your own business. And get results as early as day zero.
Those are all the details I have for you today.
But more will be coming tomorrow.
However, if that’s enough to peak your interest in your curiosity, then reply back with “FREEDOM” and I’ll make sure you stay in the loop and get access to some exclusive benefits along the way.
Let’s build something better,
Kevin Hood
